If your eyes are already sensitive to light you may want to bring sunglasses to your exam, to wear after the test is performed. However, this testing is very important and should not be overlooked. Finally, the doctor may want to perform a visual field test to make sure your eyesight does not contain any blind spots that might be caused by glaucoma or another eye disease. Yes, that is a lot of testing! Your eye exam may take up to an hour.
